Diastema closure and deep bite correction with Invisalign

This patient initially presented with a deep overbite and large Diastema (Gap) between his upper front teeth. Patients with these presentations will often ask me if they can just close their upper Gap with upper arch treatment only. In some cases where minimal correction is needed this may be possible. However, for this specific patient where a large overbite is present with considerable overlap between the upper and lower front teeth, both upper and lower arches need to be treated at the same time. This helps reduce the overbite and give proper clearance for efficient upper diastema (Gap) closure. This patient was thrilled when he finished his orthodontic treatment using Invisalign. What a difference and what a smile!!
